About Me
I'm a recent graduate of Loyola University Chicago, holding a degree in Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in French. With an interest in fashion, beauty, and digital marketing, I want to bring creativity and innovation to brand marketing in these industries. I'm always excited to connect with like-minded professionals and explore new opportunities in the marketing space!
Behind the Scenes with Marena
Born and raised in Pogradec, Albania, I moved to the States at the age of seven, bringing with me a deep sense of resilience, adaptability, and curiosity about the world. The transition from a small town by Lake Ohrid to the bustling life of Chicago has given me a unique perspective—one that blends the warmth of my heritage with the endless opportunities of my new home.
From a young age, I realized that I was fiercely goal-driven. I began working early, not just for the experience but because I thrived on the challenge and independence it brought me. This sense of ambition fuels everything I do today, especially in my creative endeavors. Whether I'm brainstorming social content for my accounts, painting, or editing videos, I’m constantly looking for ways to express my creativity.
I prioritize organization and time management. I find comfort in a well-structured day, and I always believe that clear plans allow creativity to flow more freely. I’m the type of person who gets excited about color-coded planners, digital calendars, and making sure every task has its place.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me curled up with a romance or fantasy novel. I’m also a bit of an explorer at heart, I love discovering new places in Chicago. The city’s energy keeps me inspired, and I often spend my free time taking long walks discovering new neighborhoods, getting lost in the architecture, or trying new restaurants (recommendations are always welcome!).
In my words
In May 2025, I had the incredible honor of being selected as the student speaker for the School of Communication 2025 commencement ceremony. In my speech, I reflected on the transformative power of communication—something I began to understand at just seven years old.
